New Plan....Again.

We are refilming our opening because we thought it was too boring and all over the place. I (Sian) have already filmed the killer(Sarah) drugging the drink with out Abi yesturday(17/03/10). Just need to meet up after school sometime to finish the rest which can be done in one day.

Drugging scene....
Sarah crushing up the drug. We used asprin for the tablets then swapped it with health salts to pour in the drink so it would fizz (shown in picture below.

In this picture, its a shot of the glass and within the glass you can see the killer walking away. This is effective because you can see their whole body but the glass distorts their body shape making it difficult to know if the killer is female or male.

Problems...

After adding all the clips of the forest scene onto the timeline, it turned out to be too long. If we delete some of the clips, we think it will not make complete sense. Also, there is a clip we need to record but might have to do the party scene again as Abi's kitchen has been redecorated.

The Forest scene, the audio is sort of poor. We filmed near a river and the sound fades Beth out a bit. Also, when we use different shots, you can tell they're different part of time as the sound of the shots changes. For example, one shot the river is quiet and in another shot the river is loud.

The party scene, the lighting was all over the place. When beth is getting ready the lighting is bright and when shes going down the stairs it's really dark. We need to make it look like it's night time and the lighting from outside ruins it.

The music, doesn't really fit into the genre very well. We need music that fits into a party style theme but also needs to have a bit of horror in it to show the genre of the film opening.

Some ideas for shots

Blurred...This shot will help to portray that the lead character is drugged and the effects she feels from it. We'll hold the camera in our hands for the P.O.V shot to show that she's unstable and vulnerable. The sound track will be muffled as she feels more of the effects. All these effects will increase as this scene goes on until the screen goes black.

Close Up, Zoom Out...To open the wood scene, we open with a close up on the main characters eye then we'll zoom out to catch the characters reaction in waking upin the woods the morning after the party. There will also be eery music which plays throughout the film.
Long Shot...When the main character is standing, we will have a long shot to establish the fear of being lost in the woods.
